Arnab Roy was born on 31.12.1971 in Kolkata, India. His passion for painting from a very young age paved his way for being a professional artist in later years. A disciple of lthe legendary water colorist late Shri Shyamal Duttray, Arnab started his career as a freelance wildlife painter. His clientele included WWF-India, IUCN,World Zoos and Aquariums, International Elephant Federation, Kerger Publications, The Dept of forests, Govt of West Bengal, Zoo outreach Organisation to name a few. He was a former fellow of the Wildlife Art Society of England and a former member of the international zoo educators association, Switzerland. He received several awards for wildlife painting , prominent ones being from England and Turkey. Of Late Arnab started painting what he loves next to wildlife, Indian heritage and literature. Mostly working on Shiva and Krishna. His works have been awarded in several shows.
