Biswajit is a visual designer by profession but an artist by birth. As per him – ‘I paint for self as that gives me eternal happiness. And it is probably the one and only place where I need to make no compromises. As such life has thrown a multitude of challenges at various stages of life, forcing me to make compromises. However, when it comes to art, I don’t have any rules and compulsions’. Probably that’s why Biswajits paintings have bold strokes and bright colors. Mainly acrylic, but he loves to work with all mediums. ‘From my childhood, I have felt deeply impacted and disenchanted with the ironies of our society and have tried to put forth, what I see, feel and live on my canvases. I am not opinionated whether things are bad, ugly, good or great, however, I do feel happy and sad living through the hugely diverse dichotomy of our society. And it is through art that I sublime myself completely for my eternal happiness’. Biswajit is shy and thus let his work do all the talking. He wishes and tries to make every second of that art lover who spends the time to see his work, worth it.
