Artist Deepak Patil is born in Solapur (India). He spent his entire childhood in Solapur andat present is serving as the Principal of Appasaheb Kadadi Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya(Fine Art College) in Solapur.

He attended the renowned Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya in Pune where he earned his Fine Art education by being among the toppers. Throughout his career, he had many solo exhibitions and participated in group shows. He has won many awards in nationwide professional art exhibitions and competitions.
He has some awards to his credit namely the Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, Mumbai Nokia Asia Pacific International Merit Certificate, Surbhi Kala RatnaPuraskar-Aurangabad, All India Hyderabad Art Society Award, All India LokmanyaTilakAward, LateG.N.Jadhav Award.
His work is a display of figurative portraits depicting women’s emotions engrossed during “Shringar” whilst she drapes, makes over in front of the mirror transforming herself into a beautiful woman.

Deepak Patil has been painting for nearly 22 years and his vast experience is evident in his ability to handle the canvas in an immensely captivating way. He has expertise with colour pencil, acrylic, oil, gouache, silverpoint. He has also studied sculpture and mural art of which the “Solapur Nandidhwaj depicting the local Dietyyatra” is his masterpiece that has been widely appreciated by the print media. Most of his early works are with colour pencil on black paper. The black background of all paintings provides a sharp contrast to the bright colours used by him. Besides detailing all postures, curves and expressions of the women in different moods. He has also painted the details of the beautiful drapery. To name a few his painting “Pushpvirahini” truly depicts the yearning of a young girl eagerly waiting to meet her lover. Whilst “Priyamvada’’ is engrossed in the thought of meeting her lover had been exhibited at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai¬¬ – 2018.
The amalgams of the various experiences and experiments in the technical aspects and the presentation have brought a unique quality in his painting that attracts art – lovers as well as laymen.

He keeps the promise of returning to connoisseurs with more delight in future.
