About Kaustubh Kavathekar
Myself Kaustubh Kavathekar, born in Thane and brought up in “City of Grapes” Nasik which also has rich heritage for art. I have done B.E. in computers and started job as an IT professional in multinational companies and currently settled in Thane, a suburb in Mumbai. For past 13 years, I have been working as IT professional. Some 10 years back, I stumbled upon a book “Watercolors” by Milind Mullick (an internationally acclaimed artist) and that was the beginning of my journey in watercolors. I started around 7 years back as a hobby to sketch and paint, and for past 2-3 years, I have been taking this hobby bit seriously to take it up to next level. Landscape or cityscape is what I enjoy most and make it a point to sketch or paint on every weekend as that is the only time to be away from work. Usually enjoy painting or sketching outdoors. Painting is like therapeutic for me to beat the stress and maintain the work life balance. Though I am a software engineer by profession, I am an artist by passion.
