Mousumi is a freelance contemporary artist working on oil and acrylic. She has developed her own distinctive style of contemporary art and figurative paintings. Her works’ primary subjects are typically people, both male & female characters through which she creates short stories which speaks about emotions and connections, from love to friendship, from a woman’s struggle to dream-hunting. She uses brilliant colors which have clear and distinct significance along with bold strokes. The human characters’ foreheads in the paintings are accentuated, illustrating how humanity is connected to divinity. The figures’ long eyes represent the serenity and contentment that should permeate human existence. Some of her other paintings are focused on the blending of mythology and divine figures in her own signature style that narrates eternal peace and divinity.
