Born in 1975 in Howrah, Partha studied Modeling and Sculpture in the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata. He completed his DVA in 1999, A budding artist from the City of Joy, Partha was inclined towards the finer arts since childhood. In his formative years, and later too, he nurtured his skill and very soon bloomed into a serious aspiring artist. The ‘beauty of unexplored worlds’, in his own words, inspires his creativity and is his muse. Socio-economic factors and events along with day-to-day events are a source of inspiration for his paintings. His paintings are a reflection of the Creator in the world around him. Partha believes in depicting themes of space, with a niche. To him, art is something that helps you express your endless ideas, which brings satisfaction to the creator and the beholder. He believes that the artist’s primary motto should be to capture the childhood since this concept remains in your heart forever, creating a work of art with spontaneity. His work revolves around sweet memories from his past and upcoming dreams. How different colors are used to indicate different phases of life, he uses the same concept to explain all possible phases of life.
