About Rawindra Kumar Das

ARTIST STATEMENT:

Style and medium -My mostly paintings are acrylic on canvas although when I started working I also used water colour.
My style is an integration of both traditional and modern painting techniques. My works are mostly inspired from nature ,wild life Indian films and Indian traditional art and literature. however i was more influenced by post modern art and pop art because I understand the freshness in technology and the primacy of today’s topics in contemporary art.

Concept – Apartheid, caste discrimination, regionalism, communalism and nationalism are like an epidemic for the entire human race, which gradually ends mutual love and brotherhood among humans. Today there is an atmosphere of war, violence and intolerance in the whole world, and hence the significance for love has increased to a greater extent. Mahatma Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi and Mother Teresa all have explained the importance of love in one’s life . Love is the ultimate form of freedom of expression, Love has a very important role in our life. While it may be love for a person , nature , animal or be spiritual , it gives you peace, happiness and satisfaction in every form which is an essential element for enthusiasm in life. My recent works depicts the holistic view of love which means love is everywhere may it be nature, animals or person.
