Fantasy and colour in all its extraordinary hues, tints and tones play a significant role in Sampa Das’s art. Sampa Das is a self taught, independent, emerging artist based in Kolkata. There are so many things that totally envelope the course of some people’s lives. There seem to be no apparent reason for such phenomena. She gets greatly inspired by her surroundings. Hence her works are reflection of her inner self and continuous thought process. She has always been passionate about her art. Folk art form like potochitra influence her works.
