Artwork Description

Buddha is present all over, in all living and non-living things. In the painting Buddha is shown in form of figure and Buddhist symbols –

Dharmachakra – “Wheel of Dharma” which represents Buddha’s teachings teaching of the path to enlightenment.

The Endless knot represents the interweaving of the Spiritual path, the flowing of Time and Movement.

The Triratna symbol is shown which represents the Three Jewels of Buddhism –

  • Buddha
  • Dharma (the teachings),
  • Sangha (the monastic community)

The lotus flower signifies purity and enlightenment

Deer symbolizes harmony, happiness, faithfulness and peace.  Deer, by nature, are extremely shy creatures, and their presence in a landscape represents a pure realm absent of fear.

Tortoise symbolizes Buddha’s character which is strong from outside indicating endurance, strength, stability, longevity and soft from inside indicating compassion towards all living beings.

Paduka represents Buddha’s holy footprint. Buddha’s footprints are worshipped in many Asian countries

The umbrella signifies honor and respect for each other.
